Positioning & Restraint
“Restraint systems are used to prevent users from reaching zones where the risk of a fall exists. They involve the connection of the user to the structure by means of a lanyard or an anchor line, the position and length of which is such that, irrespective of the user's movement in a broadly horizontal plane, they can never get into a situation from which a fall can occur."
The length of the lanyard or anchor line should be restricted to ensure that the user is physically prevented from entering an area
where a fall risk exist.
