SAFETY NOTICE: H500-Series Harnesses with Front/Sternal D-Ring and Leg Buckles

Dear Valued Distributor Customer,

Honeywell Fall Protection France SAS is issuing this safety notice for specific Honeywell Miller branded H500-series harness models. Please find in Table 1 below the 39 potentially affected Article Numbers that were manufactured at our Nabeul, Tunisia facility between March 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025.  Within the framework of internal quality standards and testing procedures, it was determined that a limited number of these units may have been assembled with incorrect webbing routing through the front/sternal D-ring and/or leg buckles, posing a serious safety risk. This deviation may severely limit or even completely disable the safety function of the harness in the event of a fall from height. In specific circumstances, the front/sternal D-ring and leg buckles may not be able to withstand the necessary load requirements. This could result in serious, potentially fatal, injuries. 

You are receiving this important safety notice because, according to our records, you have received potentially affected units. Although this inadequate assembly has only been identified in some products with the Article Numbers listed in the table below, we cannot rule out the possibility that the products you have purchased and resold are affected without closer inspection.

Above pictures show an illustrative example for each configuration of H500 Series Harnesses (padding and minor characteristics may differ, however these are not relevant for this safety notice).

Step 1: Please immediately send our attached USER SAFETY NOTICE to all customers that have purchased Article Numbers from Table 1 below that you have received from us after March 1, 2025. Please also send this DISTRIBUTOR SAFETY NOTICE to your relevant customers which are resellers of the potentially affected units and to which this notice applies. Please ask your customers to read and comply with the notices urgently. Kindly assist all your customers with the instructions.

Please make sure that the customers contacted accordingly reply to the USER SAFETY NOTICE and/or DISTRIBUTOR SAFETY NOTICE forwarded.

Step 2: Immediately stop all shipments of the Article Numbers in Table 1 directly above and proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Check the manufacturing date.

Please open the shipping carton(s) and check each label on the bag containing the H500 harness.

To avoid any confusion, please note the following regarding future deliveries from January 2026 onwards:

All potentially affected Article Numbers manufactured between March 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025 that have been inspected or shipped after 1 January 2026 (including those from our inventories) by our team will include a specific green dot indicator on the actual product label AND on the label on the plastic bag containing the harness. This serves as clear confirmation that the product in question is not affected by the product safety issue described above.
