CITB Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) Training
Temporary works play a vital role in supporting construction activities and must be properly supervised to ensure they are installed, maintained and removed safely. The CITB Temporary Works Supervisor course provides delegates with the knowledge and understanding required to fulfil the role of Temporary Works Supervisor, helping them support the Temporary Works Coordinator and ensure temporary works are implemented in accordance with approved designs, procedures and site requirements.

Understanding the responsibilities of the Temporary Works Supervisor and how the role supports the effective management and control of temporary works on site.

Reviewing the legislation, standards and guidance that apply to temporary works and the responsibilities of those involved in the temporary works process.
• Temporary Works Procedures
Understanding the procedures used to manage temporary works from design and approval through to installation, use and removal.
• Roles and Responsibilities Within the Temporary Works Process
Learning how the Temporary Works Supervisor interacts with the Temporary Works Coordinator, designers, site management teams and contractors.

Understanding how temporary works should be installed and managed in accordance with approved designs, method statements and project requirements.

There are no formal prerequisites for this course. However, delegates should have a good understanding of construction site operations and supervisory responsibilities.
