
Qualitative Face-Fit Training
This course equips you to carry out qualitative face fit testing in line with Health and Safety Executive guidance. Delivered by a Fit2Fit-qualified face fit technician, it covers testing protocols, interpreting results, resolving fit issues and maintaining equipment safely. Completion supports progression towards Fit2Fit personal accreditation.

How to Prepare
• Participants must be clean shaven around the facial area at the time of testing
• Do not smoke for at least one hour before testing
• Half- and full-face masks must be tested with a P3 filter (or a combination filter that includes a P3)
• Confirm the mask make and model to be tested upon booking
• Supply a backup mask in case of any failures
• When testing disposable masks, the site must supply at least one mask per person If you normally wear protective goggles or a hard hat with your facepiece, you will be asked to wear these during the fit test
Classroom-based theory combined with practical, instructor-led face fit testing exercises delivered by Fit2Fit-qualified technicians. You will gain hands-on experience using qualitative face fit testing equipment and applying safe testing procedures in line with current guidance.
Health and safety professionals responsible for managing or delivering respiratory protective equipment programmes, individuals involved in workplace risk assessments or the development of safe systems of work, and those conducting or supporting face fit testing activities. This course also supports learners seeking practical experience in qualitative face fit testing and progression towards Fit2Fit personal accreditation.
