  • Course Aim:


    This course is aimed at those who will be required to wear breathing apparatus to an industrial standard whilst utilising an airline trolley system (this does not include search and rescue).

Further Information:


After completing the course, attendees will:

  • Understand the requirement of respiratory protective equipment and the principles of selection
  • Set up an airline trolley system ready for operation
  • Complete a monthly inspection
  • Set up and complete the pre use checks for an air trolley unit
  • Utilise the airline trolley with appropriate breathing apparatus connected to it, to complete industrial tasks
  • Complete the after use checks and aftercare procedures

Training course covers:

  • Reason for respiratory protective equipment
  • Hazards and risks of exposure
  • Description of and working principle of an airline trolley
  • Monthly inspection
  • Carry out pre use checkes
  • Aftercare, cleaning and storage


Assessment: Practical assessment and written test.
Note: Face Fit Testing is required seperately to the course to ensure adequate fitting to an individual.
