Fall Protection Training

Fall protection training is an essential part of many companies’ health and safety training program, it is also essential for sole traders in order for them to comply with the legislation where working at height tasks exist.

The 2005 Work at Height regulations are in place to ensure employers have competent personnel trained to carry out work at height tasks correctly and ensure employees understand their obligations In order to keep personnel safe.

With all Fall Protection PPE you have a legal duty to ensure that it is inspected at suitable intervals (Regulation 12 (3) of the Work at Height Regulations 2005). Total Access (UK) Ltd have now introduced a IOSH approved course designed to provide sufficient information which will allow the delegates to form a judgement on the state/condition of an item of fall protection equipment and whether to keep it in service

Our Fall Protection Training Courses

About our Fall Protection training

These courses give the participant the ability to identify areas of risk and use the correct equipment and hierarchy of control to keep them safe. A theory session is included where the Working at Height Regulations and other relevant legislation is covered along with risk assessments, hazards and control measures.  This is then demonstrated in a practical session whereby delegates are taught to select the correct personal protective equipment, carry out pre-use checks on this equipment then don it correctly.  Delegates are then shown and practice how to safely use various fall protection systems that are commonly found on site.
