Crane Access & Egress

Course Aim

This course will familiarise candidates with the correct use of harnesses and associated equipment for fall protection for access to cranes systems typically found in warehouses

Course Content

• Legislation for Working At Height
• PPE – pre use checks and fitting (Harness, helmet and fall arrest/positioning lanyards)
• Demonstrations of use
• Climbing Techniques
• Access methods (fixed systems / fall arrest blocks and lanyards as applicable)
• Awareness of emergency procedures
• Theory and Practical assessments

The course will involve elements of classroom and practical tuition.

Aimed At

Delegates that are required to use fall arrest equipment to access automated crane systems in warehouse environments.
Examples include: Warehouse engineers, “Jam-Busters”, on site rescue personnel, fire suppression system engineers.
