Lone Working In & Out of the Workplace
Working alone removes the immediate support network most employees take for granted — and when something goes wrong, the consequences can escalate quickly. This CPD-accredited course covers the risks specific to lone working, practical safety strategies for travel and site visits, how to handle difficult situations involving aggression or isolation, and the steps both employers and employees must take to meet their health and safety responsibilities. It also addresses the mental health challenges that lone working can present and the wellbeing strategies that help manage them. Completed entirely online, it is suitable for anyone who works independently or away from colleagues.
• Preparing and travelling
How to plan and prepare for lone working and work-related travel safely, including journey planning, site assessment, check-in procedures and the precautions to take before arriving at an unfamiliar location.
