S-Cape personal offshore emergency descent device
Learn more about the S-Cape personal offshore emergency descent device, built to support safe evacuation from offshore installations during emergency situations.
Offshore evacuation
Arco Professional Safety Services Ltd has developed the S-Cape Evacuation System for both onshore and offshore emergencies.
These systems fully comply with the requirements of the HSE Operational Circular, OC 282/31 in respect of equipment used for emergency rope evacuation from mechanical handling equipment; and help potential users comply with the Work At Height Regulations 2005.
S-Cape offshore video
Watch our short video below to see how easily our offshore S-Cape evacuation system can be used in an emergency.
The OFFSHORE S-Cape™ Evacuation System
The system uses basic abseiling techniques which anyone with minimal training can perform safely. The Mark VI provides an easy and versatile means of controlled descent from offshore installations such as platforms, tankers, drill rigs, etc., in the event that an emergency escalates to a point where the standard evacuation systems can no longer be used.
Our S-cape kits are tried and tested in industry and used by operatives as a last resort when they need to safely evacuate from height.
This new and improved kit is hermetically sealed, offering up to 9 years of operational life with no periodic service costs.
