RPE maintenance
Poorly maintained respirators compromise wearer safety
Respirators are often used by untrained wearers, operated while damaged, or left without essential inspections and scheduled servicing. Inadequate cleaning, poor storage, and missing maintenance records further reduce their protective performance. Proper, competent upkeep is critical to ensure every wearer receives the protection they rely on.
Ensuring your RPE stays safe, compliant and fully effective
Annual servicing can be completed either on your site or at our dedicated respiratory workshops in Bracknell, Eccleshall, Linlithgow and Warrington. Each test is fully documented with the mask’s make, model, and size, and all records are kept up to date and ready for inspection when required.
We help ensure your RPE remains safe and fully effective, supporting a wide range of equipment including:
- Half masks
- Full face masks
- Powered respirators
- Airline respirators
- Escape respirators
- Self contained breathing apparatus
Breathing air quality analysis
If you use airline respiratory equipment supplied by a compressor, we can perform the required monthly BS EN 12021 tests to confirm your breathing air is free from contamination and meets the correct standards. Using advanced FTIR analysis, we assess oxygen levels, moisture, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, oil content, and any other potential contaminants. For more details on respiratory hazards, risk reduction, and the protection solutions we provide, view the brochure below.
Trusted RPE training, inspections and annual servicing
Our technicians can provide training for wearers to conduct their own monthly COSHH inspections, or attend site and conduct these inspections on your behalf as part of our Managed Services package. We can also carry out manufacturers required annual services to make sure your equipment is still providing adequate protection.
