CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal Training
The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course enables delegates to refresh and update their knowledge of health and safety practices within the engineering construction industry. Building on the foundations of the original CCNSG Safety Passport, the course reviews key safety principles, highlights industry developments and reinforces the behaviours required to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Successful completion allows delegates to renew their CCNSG Safety Passport and continue working on sites where this qualification is required.
• Health and Safety Legislation Updates
A review of current health and safety legislation and guidance relevant to the engineering construction industry, including any significant changes since delegates last completed the Safety Passport course.
• Safe Behaviour at Work
Reinforcing the importance of personal responsibility, positive attitudes and safe behaviours in helping to prevent accidents and incidents on site.
• Responsibilities in the Workplace
Refreshing understanding of the duties placed on employers and employees, and the role everyone plays in maintaining a safe working environment.
• Risk Assessment and Method Statements
Reviewing how workplace hazards are identified, assessed and controlled, and the importance of following site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
• Common Workplace Hazards
Revisiting hazards commonly encountered within engineering construction environments and the practical measures used to reduce risk.
• Safe Systems of Work and Permit-to-Work Procedures
Understanding the ongoing importance of permit systems and safe systems of work in managing higher-risk activities.
• Occupational Health and Wellbeing
Exploring common health risks associated with engineering construction work and the measures used to protect physical and mental wellbeing.
• Environmental Awareness
Understanding the impact work activities can have on the environment and the responsibilities individuals have for protecting it.
• Accident Prevention and Lessons Learned
Reviewing industry incidents and learning how safe working practices can help prevent accidents and improve site safety performance.
• Assessment
Delegates complete a multiple-choice assessment to demonstrate their understanding of the course content and current health and safety requirements.

Delegates must hold a valid CCNSG Safety Passport or meet the current CCNSG requirements for renewal.
