• Safe Behaviour at Work
Understanding how individual actions, attitudes and behaviours can influence workplace safety and contribute to a positive safety culture.

• Employer and Employee Responsibilities
Learning about the legal and moral responsibilities of employers and employees under health and safety legislation, including the importance of cooperation and compliance.

• Risk Assessment and Method Statements
Understanding how workplace hazards are identified, assessed and controlled, and how method statements help ensure work activities are carried out safely.

• Common Workplace Hazards
Recognising hazards commonly encountered on engineering construction sites, including slips, trips, falls, manual handling activities and confined spaces.

• Safe Systems of Work and Permit-to-Work Procedures
Understanding the purpose of permit-to-work systems, when they are required and how they help control higher-risk work activities.

• Workplace Transport and Site Traffic
Learning how to work safely around vehicles, mobile plant and designated traffic routes while reducing the risk of collisions and accidents.

• Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Understanding how hazardous substances can affect health and the controls used to minimise exposure, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Fire Prevention and Emergency Procedures
Learning about common causes of workplace fires, emergency arrangements and the actions required in the event of an incident.

• Electrical Safety and Isolation Procedures
Developing an awareness of electrical hazards and understanding the importance of isolation, lock-off procedures and safe working practices around electrical equipment.

• Assessment
Delegates complete a multiple-choice assessment to confirm their understanding of the course content, followed by a course review and feedback session.

It is suitable for operatives, technicians, supervisors, contractors and other personnel who require the CCNSG Safety Passport to access engineering construction sites and demonstrate a recognised level of health and safety awareness.
