EUSR Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) Gas Training
The EUSR Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) Gas course provides delegates with the essential health, safety and environmental knowledge required to work safely within the gas utility industry. Combining core workplace health and safety awareness with gas industry-specific requirements, the course helps delegates understand their responsibilities, recognise workplace hazards and follow safe working practices when operating on gas industry sites and infrastructure. • Risk Assessment and Hazard Control
Learning how hazards are identified, risks assessed and suitable control measures implemented to reduce workplace risks.

Understanding the hazards commonly encountered within utility and infrastructure environments and the controls required to work safely.

Exploring workplace health risks including noise, vibration, hazardous substances, manual handling and wellbeing considerations.
• Emergency Procedures and Incident Response

• Highway Working and Excavations
Learning about the risks associated with working on highways, excavation activities and the precautions required to protect people, infrastructure and services.
• Pressure Regulating Installations

Understanding permits to work, method statements, risk assessments and other procedures used to control high-risk activities.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Learning about the selection, use, maintenance and limitations of PPE used within the gas industry.
• Behavioural Safety and Safety Culture
Understanding how individual attitudes and behaviours contribute to maintaining a positive safety culture and reducing workplace incidents.
• Assessment
