Legionella Responsible Person Training
The Legionella Responsible Person course is designed for individuals who have responsibility for managing the risks associated with Legionella bacteria in water systems. The course provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of legal duties, risk assessment requirements and control measures, enabling them to effectively oversee Legionella management programmes and ensure compliance with current guidance and legislation. Understanding the purpose of Legionella risk assessments, how risks are identified and the importance of reviewing assessments regularly.

Learning how to implement effective control measures, including temperature monitoring, system maintenance, cleaning and disinfection programmes.

Understanding the routine checks, inspections and testing activities required to ensure water systems remain safe and compliant.

This course is designed for Responsible Persons, duty holders, facilities managers, building managers, property managers, health and safety professionals, maintenance managers and anyone with responsibility for the management of water systems and Legionella control within commercial, industrial, healthcare, education or residential premises.
There are no formal prerequisites for this course. However, a basic understanding of water systems or previous attendance on a Legionella Awareness course may be beneficial.
