Train Roof Access Training
Get the skills to safely access train roofs for emergency response and minor works, such as pantograph access and clearing debris, using our Train Roof Access Kit. You'll select anchor points, use fall protection and rescue equipment to EN353-2, EN358, EN813 and EN361, and manage a suspended casualty.

• Access techniques
Using portable ladders, climbing and restraint systems in line with EN353-2, EN358, EN813 and EN361.
• Rig-to-rescue systems
Converting an access rig into a rescue system for lowering a casualty.
• Emergency lowering and rescue
Carrying out emergency lower and rescue procedures using TRAK.
• Casualty care and suspension syncope
Recognising and responding to suspension syncope, and providing initial casualty care.
• Assessment
Theory and practical assessment of competence in TRAK access and rescue procedures.
Classroom-based theory combined with practical exercises using the Train Roof Access Kit, reinforcing anchor selection, rig-to-rescue conversion and casualty management.
Experienced rail workers required to access train roofs 'on track' for emergency response or minor repair works, such as pantograph access and clearing debris.
