Genie Rescue

Course Aim

To provide delegates with the knowledge and practical experience to enable them to rescue a fellow worker using the Rescue Genie kit. Casualty could be: suspended by a fall arrest lanyard or system, collapsed within a protected platform or other similar scenarios. Rescues are carried out using primarily casualty lifting and lowering techniques.

• PPE – pre use checks and fitting (WAH PPE and sealed rescue kit)
• Rescue kit content awareness
• Anchor point selection
• Casualty lifting using rescue kit
• Casualty lowering
• Casualty care
• Suspension Syncope theory
• Theory and Practical assessments
