Course Aim

To be able to equip participants with training skills necessary to instruct others on risk associated with manual handling techniques

• Legal and other requirements governing manual handling operations
• Anatomy and physiology
• Common injuries arising from poor manual handling
• Ergonomic principles
• Risk assessment of manual handling operations
• Training and learning techniques
• Discussion of different manual handling a ssessment tools including MAC, RULA, REBA
• Practical group activity assessing a range of manual handling tasks
• Train the Trainer – demonstration of skills
• Knowledge review and assessment of learning
