Our experienced and highly specialised engineers scaled 205ft in the air with party hats and bubbly to celebrate in style.
Our guys we’re there not only to celebrate but to clean and inspect Thorpe Park’s Stealth ride one of Europe's fastest rollercoasters, this is not your everyday cleaning job.
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the rollercoaster, they sported party hats on top of their helmets and held aloft champagne flutes as they tucked into a birthday cake at the dizzying top of the ride.
Using full rope access equipment our engineers methodically inspected every section of the track making their way to the top.
Using rope access provides a quicker and more cost effective method to tackling difficult working at height problems. Speed was of the essence as Thorpe Park reopens for business today.
Total Access spent 11,500 hours using harnesses and rope access equipment to check every inch of the rides at Thorpe Park ahead of the park’s 2017 opening.
