Prosecutions and enforcement notices weekly update and analysis

The latest records of enforcement notices issued and prosecutions taken by HSE Construction Division during the week 16/07/2012 – 22/07/2012 were added to the HSE register on 26th September 2012.

HSE has also published details of their Construction Sector Priorities 2012/13 which outlines subjects etc. which are the current focus of attention for HSE Inspectors.

Prosecutions concluded

The database shows 6 defendants prosecuted by HSE Construction Groups giving rise to 7 breaches added to the HSE Register.

Enforcement notices issued

There were 61 construction sector Enforcement Notices added to the HSE Register.

 

The majority of notices issued concern work at height, welfare, good order, silica dust, and asbestos.

An increasing number of notices concern wider CDM issues including: competence; site management, client compliance and a focus on smaller projects.
