Todays the day! IRATA TACS goes LIVE!

The Training, Assessment and Certification Scheme is now live on the IRATA International website.
 

Important dates for your diary

As of midnight (GMT) on 31st July IRATA will cease to accept T-status Application forms.

As a result of this, from today 1st of August, you will need to apply for Trainee Instructor status before you can become a full Instructor.

Application for Trainee Instructor status will cost £35 (plus VAT where applicable). Application forms are available here or upon request to tacsinfo@irata.org.

 

TODAY 1st August – TACS goes live.  Remember that Assessments on this day will still be governed by IRATA General Requirements. Following assessments will be under TACS.

TODAY 1st August – IRATA Online system will be shut down for maintenance for 3 days from 1st August until 4th August (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

 

4th August – Your upgraded IRATA Online system will be operational and ready to accept Assessments.

Key changes:

Mandatory 4 days of training for all Levels of IRATA training (re-validations included).

All existing IRATA technicians must present an IRATA Log Book for assessment – this is for revalidation’s and upgrades for all Levels of IRATA training. No logbook, no assessment. (replacements: logbookrequest@irata.org)

If you fail a re-validation assessment, your IRATA ticket is no longer valid. If you feel you need additional days training prior to sitting your assessment – speak with you IRATA Training Member Company. You do not have to sit your assessment until you feel ready.

Trainer status has been replaced with Instructor status. Existing technicians who hold Trainer status will have automatic 'grandfather rights' to switch over to i-status. If you wish to become an instructor, you will need to apply for instructor status.

Instructors Status

 

Existing Technicians with T-Status will have automatic “Grandfather rights” to switch over to Instructor status. This means that there will be no initial Fee or application process* for existing Trainers wishing to make the change. However, new Instructors will need to reapply in March 2015, (more news to follow).

 

*In accordance with the new TACS regulations, all Instructors will be issued with an Instructor Logbook.  The first Instructor Log Book will be issued free of charge and will be sent upon receipt of a completed “Instructor Log Book Request Form”. This will be available for download from our website or upon request from the IRATA office.

 

Request Forms

 

If you haven’t already, please remember to send in your request forms to tacsinfo@irata.org. You will not receive any Assessor Pads or Instructor Logbooks if we have not received this form from you.
