Course Aim

The aim of this course is to educate learners in a realistic high-risk environment by preparing them to work safely; entering and exiting confined spaces safely; preparing to use applicable breathing apparatus; using rescue equipment; following procedures and dealing with emergencies.

• Rescue procedures and protecting the rescuer
• Rescue equipment
• First aid requirements for casualty rescue / rescovery
• Search procedures
• Rescue techniques
• Practical exercises and assessment
Assessment: Practical observation and short answer question paper

Aimed At

This course is designed for those personnel involved in the rescue of a casualty or form part of the rescue team.

Pre-Requisite

This course has a prerequisite that those attending must hold a valid High-Risk Qualification (C&G 6160-03) and a valid First Aid certificate. Proof of both must be provided at time of booking
