High Bay Rack Access

Course Aim

This course will familiarise candidates with the correct use of harnesses and associated equipment for fall protection for access to cranes and racking storage systems typically found in warehouses

Course Content

• Legislation for Working At Height
• PPE – pre use checks and fitting (Harness, helmet and fall arrest/positioning lanyards)
• Demonstrations of use
• Climbing Techniques
• Access methods (fixed systems / fall arrest blocks and fall arrest lanyards as applicable)
• Safe transfers between crane systems and pallet racking
• Awareness of emergency procedures
• Theory and Practical assessments

Aimed At

Delegates that are required to use fall arrest equipment to access racking structures in the warehouse. Examples include: Warehouse engineers, “Jam-Busters”, on site rescue personnel, fire suppression system engineers.
